Israeli Solar Power: Renewable Light To The Nations

Israeli Solar Power: Renewable Light To The Nations

A cutting edge Israeli company demonstrates the reality of solar power on a large scale. Yishai Fleisher, JewishPress.com Managing Editor, visits Arava Power in Kibbutz Ketura 50 km north of Eilat in Southern Israel. He interviews Yosef Abramowitz (President of Arava Power). Arava Power has built Israel’s first commercial solar field which is also the first solar power farm array in the Middle East. This solar field will soon be ramping up to a gigantic 40 megawatts of power which will meet a full third of the power needs of the city of Eilat. Eilat uses 120 megawatts at peak energy (all air conditioners on in every house and every hotel). Music by RebbeSoul: rebbesoul.com

Guys, making your own home energy doesn’t have to be hard (I used to feel it did). I’ll give you some advice right now. Look for a alternative home energy called Xobotano Home Energy (do a google search). Seriously, Xobotano Home Energy has save large sums of my money. I probably shouldn’t even be mentioning it because I do not want a bunch of other folks out there running the same “game” but whatever, I am just in a great mood today so I will share the wealth haha.

If you combine this with your electric car project and the offshore gas you’re on to a real winner in energy independence!!!

Thanks for the feedback. It is good to hear from viewers. The music does fade out completely by minute 1:00 in case you did not make it that far.

For God’s sake, kill that music! It is way too loud and very distracting. Can’t focus on what the guy says!

Meanwhile, on the West Bank, the Israeli government is threatening to DESTROY Palestinian solar installations. Look, we know that everybody in Israel isn’t an asshole but could you please try and keep them from running things? There is no excuse for this. Solar power is good wherever it’s installed.
